Wet, wet, wet

No not the band, the weather and our Junior Peregrine Investigators and Nature Detectives on Tuesday. Despite the pouring rain we had fun learning about senses in a variety of ways including using feely bags to guess items by touch and sniffing, following a trail blindfolded and playing games such as bear cub and keeper of the keys.

While the Junior Peregrine Investigators tried to avoid the worst of the rain, most of the Nature Detectives were keen to get as wet as possible, standing under trees and shaking them to shower themselves and anyone else nearby- usually me!

It’s hard to believe that it was our fifth session and that next week will be the last for this year. If you haven’t been along yet there is just one more session to go, so come along and see what we are up to next week!

The peregrines too were trying to avoid the rain that day. The male was perched in the quarry from first thing, whereas the female was out when the rain came on and arrived back some time later looking very wet and very unimpressed!

The squirrels and wee birds never seem to be put off by the weather and are out on the feeders come rain or shine and it’s always lovely to see them.

Pop along soon to see what is out and about.
